Traveling south on Route 301, beyond the Route 4 intersection, turn left onto Croom Road (Route 382). Turn left onto Croom Airport Road.  Follow Croom Airport Road to Park Entrance Road on the left.

Special Interests (museum, fishing pier, swimming pool, etc.) : Jug Bay is one of the most important freshwater tidal estuaries in the Chesapeake Bay region.  The park offers a wide range of amenities for the public. There are more than eight miles of scenic woodland trails for hikers, bicyclists and horseback riders.  Jug Bay is excellent to explore by canoe or kayak along the Patuxent Water Trail. The park offers guided trips, as well as daily and hourly canoe and kayak rentals.

The park is home to the Patuxent Rural Life Museum. This collection of late 19th century and early 20th century buildings tells the story of life in southern Maryland.

Parking: (number of spaces, distance to the water) : 12 at launching ramp near the water for vehicles with boat trailer.  More at park office.

Fees : Daily or annual permits required.  Check at Visitor Center for application and fees.
